ASB believes that socially responsible investments take into consideration environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues which can positively impact long-term performance and reduce risk.

We realize that many of our clients, tenants, and employees share our interest in sustainable practices. As a result, we consistently seek new and creative ways to implement practices and procedures that correlate with ESG rationale and help fulfill our responsibilities. To align the firm’s actions with these sustainability concerns, we have committed to the following sustainability objectives:

ENVIRONMENT
Seek green building certification (LEED®) and reduce utility consumption at both the corporate and investment level.

SOCIAL
Consider the impact of our corporate and investment-level operations on the well-being of our tenants, employees, contractors, and others.

RESPONSIBLE INVESTMENT POLICY
Continue to abide by our long-standing responsible investment policy which seeks to promote responsible stewardship of the environment, safe living and working conditions, and employment of the highest skilled workers from the building and construction union trades.

GOVERNANCE
Embrace corporate responsibility, accountability, fairness, and transparency in how we manage our relationship with clients and investments.

RESOURCES
Empower an interdisciplinary ESG Team with the necessary technology and resources to consistently advance our ESG objectives.

REPORTING
Provide clients with transparency and accountability on our ESG progress through annual reporting to The Global ESG Benchmark for Real Assets (GRESB).
